No alternative to the Holy Spirit is available for the Christian
Christian Must Be Ablaze for God
Importance: God, believers and the world are longing for somebody with the burning passion filled with love for God. Compassion for the troubles of the world and the church, passion to experience the glory of God, desire to share the gospel of Christ for the salvation of the lost.
God want his servants burning with the Holy Fire. If we as leaders lacks the burning heart, our people will also be lacking in fire, and all of us will have a little to no impact to others. It takes more than our skills, talents, programs to change lives. It must be the work of servants working under the work of the Holy Spirit.
We need the Holy Fire, burning in our hearts, guiding our thoughts, overpowering our emotions, holding our tongues, emanating in our words, trembling our actions, extending our heavenly wisdom as a testimony for the unchurch.
No erudition, no purity of diction, no width of mental outlook, no flowers of eloquence, no grace of person can atone for lack of fire.
Prayer ascends by fire. Flame gives prayer access as well as wings, acceptance as well as energy. There is no incense without fire; no prayer without flame.
Edward McKendree Bounds – Author of 11 Books, 9 focused on prayer.
A passionless Christianity will not put out the fire of hell. A fire is lit by fire. A passionless Christian cannot light others up on fire. The fire is what the people need. The fuel, the pot, the stove is not enough to cook food, we need fire. The fire is the element that cook the food, it is a chemical reaction that changes everything.
Every Christian needs the Baptism of fire. We need that Holy Flame, so we are burned, consumed by Christ. Christians are to be imprisoned and possessed by Christ. It is the Holy Fire that locks us inside the cage of Christ.
Only God can Baptized with Fire. Only God can send His glory. In ourselves we cannot produce fire, but we can humble down to our God in honest repentance confessing our need. God’s Fire, the Holy Fire, the Fire that set us ablaze for the ministry, comes only to those who are humble, prepared, obedient and hungry.
